My Approach to Therapy:

I believe everyone has the ability to heal and flourish. Sometimes, we just need someone to walk with us through the more difficult parts. My goal is to listen, support, and work with you to discover your strengths and utilize the tools that make the most sense to move you forward in your journey.

I work from a person-centered foundation and integrate other modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy based on your needs and preferences.

My Ideal Client:

I enjoy working with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, chronic health issues, grief, career exploration, and life transitions.

Do you feel overwhelmed by the demands of your career or personal life? Are you struggling to cope with anxiety or depression that seems to overshadow your daily activities? Do relationship issues leave you feeling isolated or misunderstood? Are you navigating the aftermath of trauma or chronic health issues that impact your quality of life? Have you experienced the deep pain of grief and loss, or are you at a crossroads, unsure about your next career or life steps?

If you find yourself answering “yes” to any of these questions, it might be time to prioritize your mental health. Together, we can work towards gaining the clarity, strength, and confidence you need to overcome these obstacles and thrive in your life.

The Concerns I Specialize in Treating:

Counseling for Life Transitions

Are you struggling to adapt to a new phase of life? Do you feel like you’re losing your footing amidst change? My approach to therapy focuses on providing support and guidance as you navigate these transitions. Whether you're changing careers, moving to a new place, entering or leaving a relationship, or experiencing other major life changes, these transitions can leave you feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or even anxious. Though many of these feelings are natural, they can disrupt your sense of stability. Let’s work together to help you embrace change with confidence.

My Story:

I've learned firsthand that life has a funny way of leading you to places you never quite imagined. I started college to become a writer but discovered I was more interested in my psychology courses than my writing courses. Catching me by surprise, I had no idea what it meant or what I was going to do with it, but I changed my major to psychology. Since then, I've had quite a lengthy career in higher education, spent time building and running my own photography business, and enjoyed several years as a stay-at-home parent.

Like many others, I've experienced many challenges and tragedies. I can attest to the power of counseling through my own therapy experiences, as they've helped me to process emotions and find the inner strength to get through whatever life has thrown my way. A few years ago, everything seemed to click into place when I had a fundamental shift in my perspective that made me realize I wanted to be the one to help others feel the impact counseling can have. With that in mind, I began my journey of pursuing a counseling degree and creating a safe, judgment-free place for others
