Hello!
I'm Selina Markiewicz, MA LPCC NCC NMIT and I'm a licensed professional counselor candidate and Natural Medicine Facilitator providing mental health counseling for clients in Colorado.
Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, and we all need support at times. I offer a safe, compassionate space to explore the emotions, patterns, and experiences that shape your well-being. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and collaborative—rooted in evidence-based therapies, mindfulness, and creative expression. Together, we’ll build practical tools and deeper self-awareness to help you move through anxiety, burnout, grief, or life transitions with greater clarity and confidence. As a Natural Medicine Facilitator (NMIT), I also support clients preparing for or integrating ketamine- or psilocybin-assisted experiences, helping translate insights into meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help you feel seen, empowered, and reconnected to your joy and purpose.

My Approach to Therapy:
My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I draw from evidence-based practices such as CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, and family systems work to create a supportive space where healing and growth can unfold safely. Together, we’ll explore the patterns, emotions, and beliefs that shape your experience, while building practical skills for balance, boundaries, and resilience.
I bring warmth, humor, and authenticity to our sessions, meeting you exactly where you are and honoring your pace, background, and values. Whether you’re navigating stress, trauma, family dynamics, or preparing for and integrating experiences with natural medicines like ketamine or psilocybin, my goal is to help you feel seen, empowered, and deeply supported as you move toward lasting change and self-connection.
My Ideal Client:
I work with adults who are ready to move through the stuck places in life—whether that means managing anxiety or depression, healing from trauma, navigating relationship challenges, living with chronic health conditions, or finding direction during major life transitions. Many of my clients are thoughtful, caring people who tend to carry a lot for others and are now ready to refocus on themselves.

You might feel overwhelmed by responsibilities, uncertain about your path, or weighed down by grief, stress, or self-doubt. You may sense that something needs to shift, but aren’t sure where to start. Together, we’ll slow things down, build clarity and resilience, and help you reconnect with what matters most. My role is to walk beside you with empathy, curiosity, and practical guidance, supporting you in cultivating balance, confidence, and lasting change.
The Concerns I Specialize in Treating:
Natural Medicine Preparation and Integration
Are you curious about the potential for healing and insight through natural medicine experiences such as ketamine or psilocybin? As a Natural Medicine Facilitator (NMIT), I provide trauma-informed support to help you prepare for and integrate these experiences with intention, safety, and self-compassion. Together, we’ll clarify your goals, build grounding and emotional regulation tools, and process the insights that emerge so you can translate them into meaningful, lasting change. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing from trauma, or a deeper connection to yourself, this work offers a supportive path for transformation and integration—honoring your readiness, values, and unique journey.
My Story:
Life has a way of taking us on journeys we never quite expect. I originally set out to be a writer, but somewhere between creative essays and psychology electives, I realized what truly fascinated me wasn’t the stories I was writing—it was the human stories unfolding all around me. So, I changed my major to psychology, not yet knowing where it would lead, only that it felt right.

Over the years, my path has woven through many chapters—working in higher education, running my own photography business, and spending cherished years as a stay-at-home parent. Each experience deepened my appreciation for resilience, creativity, and the many ways people find meaning and connection in their lives.
Like many, I’ve faced seasons of loss, transition, and personal growth. My own therapy experiences became a turning point, helping me rediscover strength, healing, and purpose when life felt uncertain. Those experiences inspired me to become the kind of therapist I once needed—someone who listens deeply, creates safety, and walks beside others through their healing process.

Today, as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Natural Medicine Facilitator (NMIT), I blend evidence-based therapy with mindfulness, creativity, and a deep respect for each person’s inner wisdom. Whether through talk therapy or natural medicine integration, my goal is to help others reconnect with themselves, rediscover hope, and create a life that feels grounded, authentic, and whole.
