My Story

As a graduate student, I am working towards my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. Before starting this program, I worked in education for twenty years and have experience supporting teachers, adolescents, administrators, and parents. I am also a certified yoga instructor with a graduate degree in Exercise Science and have experience in sports psychology. In my work as a teacher, I often found myself incorporating social-emotional learning into health and fitness curriculums, which gave me a taste of what it would be like to be a counselor. I have always wanted to be a therapist and Covid gave me the guts to follow my heart in this endeavor. I am in this graduate program and gaining clinical experience at Her Time Therapy, LLC because I want to continue to help people in the most profound manner I can.

My Approach

I believe negative situations can be used as a catalyst for change, growth, and self-improvement. By deepening the mind, body, and spirit connection, there is greater potential for growth, healing, and a higher quality of life. I believe that humans are incredibly resilient and sometimes we just need a little help reconnecting with our inner knowing.

As a Therapist in Training under the supervision of Julie Noyes, MA LPC NCC, I look forward to walking alongside you to support your work in healing, growth, and empowerment.
