Hello!
I'm Erin Brandt (she/her), a Clinical Mental Health Graduate Student offering affordable counseling services to Her Time Therapy Clients under the supervision of Meagan Clark, MA LPC NCC BC-TMH, and Adams State University professors.
I will meet you at your baseline, without judgment or expectation, and provide a safe space for your wellness journey. My unique background as a sex educator for over 20 years allows me to engage with clients seeking specific support in sexual relationships, kinks, orientation, and identity exploration, sexual consent and communication, and identifying your desires and needs.
It is never too late to learn about how bodies work, create positive sexual habits, and practice communication skills. Most especially because these aspects of our lives are very often shamed, overlooked, or we are “supposed to know" the answers.

My Approach to Therapy:
As a humanistic and systems-based counselor, I emphasize the understanding of self and the impact external systems have on feelings, behaviors, and actions. I believe that by understanding the past and the patterns established, clients can begin to heal, integrate, and change how they are experiencing their current reality.

As a clinical mental health graduate student, I am actively learning and practicing the latest interventions in various therapeutic modalities and working under the close supervision of a fully licensed counselor. I see life as a series of experiences that offer growth, wonder, gratitude, and compassion. I bring these same values to the counseling space with my clients.
My Ideal Client:
I am passionate about working with clients who want to examine their childhood; their influences such as cultural, religious, relational, or political; and/or their privilege. I want to work with individuals, including men, women, and teens, who are struggling with their identity, connection to community, and/or interpersonal relationships.

I am well-suited to counsel clients grappling with:

-
Sexual Issues: Desire, kinks, attraction, or libido
-
Queer Issues: Sexual orientation, gender identity, caregivers with queer or transitioning youth, understanding and using pronouns, understanding dead-naming
-
Relationship Issues: Attachment, pre-marital counseling, non-monogamy, polyamory, or transitioning in or out of a relationship
-
Body Image Issues
The Concerns I Specialize in Treating:
Sex Counseling & Sexual Self-Discovery for Women
Are you curious about your body, your desires, or how to experience more pleasure—but not sure where to start? As a former sex educator with over 15 years of experience, I specialize in helping women reconnect with their bodies, embrace their sexual selves, and let go of shame around intimacy and pleasure. Whether you want to learn how your body works, explore your desires without guilt, or improve communication with a partner, I create a nonjudgmental space to ask questions you’ve never felt safe asking. It's never too late to rewrite your sexual narrative. Let’s work together to increase sexual confidence, pleasure, and self-awareness.
My Story:
I grew up in a small, rural town in Southwest Colorado, from which I could not leave fast enough. I completed my undergraduate degree in Austin, Texas, enjoying the vibrant music scene in the years before South by Southwest. Then, with a brief break between, I hopped on a big jet airliner to Perth, Western Australia, for my first graduate degree, this one in Forensic Sexology. As a poor graduate student with big plans for a life in New York City, I came home to my small rural town to save some money. I never made it to NYC because I met my significant other, a recently employed climbing bum who was shedding their dirtbag lifestyle. We continued to travel and live in various places, but we are back in my rural community, raising our kiddo.

My career has always been social-justice focused, whether dismantling a for-profit juvenile detention center from the inside as a case manager or managing the sex education program for Planned Parenthood in Southwest Colorado and Northern New Mexico. I started my own sex education and coaching business because I wanted to talk about the positive aspects of sex and confront misinformation and shame. My joys in life include gaming with my kiddo, playing Scrabble with my love, walking my elderly yet spry pit bull, reading in a hammock, puttering in my garden, and adding to my to-be-read pile of books.
