Introduction Paragraph
In three sentences or less, what would you say to a potential client to immediately make them feel "she's the perfect therapist for me"?
Example:
Do you feel detached from the life you want to live and are ready to reconnect with your sense of self again? Perhaps you're struggling to balance your job with your personal life, and most days, you feel overwhelmed. If you are ready to release what no longer serves you and seek a safe space to talk with someone who will listen without judgment, I am here to help you feel more in control and optimistic about your life.
My Approach to Therapy Paragraph
āIn 1-2 short paragraphs, explain your approach to therapy and what makes you unique. Be sure to write in client friendly language and center how you address their presenting issues.
ā
Example:
My approach to therapy is rooted in my belief that you are resilient and capable of great things, even when it feels like the odds are against you. Through our work together, you will connect with your true self and find greater alignment with things that matter most to you.
In a safe and compassionate therapy session, we will explore therapeutic techniques tailored to your unique needs and preferences, paving the way for personal growth and transformation. Whether you’re navigating low self-esteem, anxiety, or stress or are experiencing difficulty in your relationships, I am here to help apply evidence-based counseling strategies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices designed to help you bring balance and joy back into your life.
My Ideal Client Paragraph
In 1-2 short paragraphs, explain who you loved to work with, why this is a passion area, and what you do to help this demographic.
ā
Example:
My passion is working with high-level professional women who struggle with chronic stress, burnout, and relationship issues. I help women experience greater fulfillment by learning how to manage low self-confidence, imposter syndrome, and anxiety.
By addressing these issues from a feminist counseling orientation and cultivating a greater sense of self-awareness through values exploration, you will develop the confidence and emotional resilience needed to navigate the complexities of your professional life and personal life more effectively. You have what it takes to face your obstacles and thrive, fostering deeper connections, greater satisfaction, and a renewed sense of purpose in all areas of life.
The Concerns I Specialize in Treating
List 3-5 presenting issues you feel most qualified to treat. Include a short description explaining your therapeutic style and approach to that issue.
ā
Example:
Sex & Intimacy Issues - Are you curious about your body, your desires, or how to experience more pleasure—but not sure where to start? As a former sex educator with over 15 years of experience, I specialize in helping women reconnect with their bodies, embrace their sexual selves, and let go of shame around intimacy and pleasure. Whether you want to learn how your body works, explore your desires without guilt, or improve communication with a partner, I create a nonjudgmental space to ask questions you’ve never felt safe asking. It's never too late to rewrite your sexual narrative.
My Story Paragraph
Write 1-2 paragraphs explaining who you are, why you became a therapist, and what you love about this work.
ā
Meagan's Example:
I became a holistic, client centered mental health therapist because I know what it is like to have your life turned upside down. Early in my professional career as an English teacher, one of my worst fears came true - my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. My perspective on life and my priorities shifted suddenly and irrevocably. I spent three wonderful and terrible years at her side as a cancer caregiver before she passed away.
During that time and the years following, I learned how to manage chronic stress, grief, and anxiety, while also finding the bright spots in life and a way forward. I've lived with anxiety and even navigated the stress of starting and changing career paths during a time of mental, emotional, and physical upheaval. The blessing in these experiences is the clarity I gained around my true purpose and passion in life - to teach other women how persevere through their darkest moments.
I'm ready to be your partner in facing anxiety, grief, and traumatic stress, not only because of the qualifications listed on this page, but because I've been there. I've lived through it, and I know you can too.
