My Approach to Therapy
My approach is direct, evidence-informed, and built entirely around you, not a one-size-fits-all method. I work to understand the patterns beneath the surface: the ones shaping how you relate to others, how you see yourself, and why certain struggles keep showing up no matter how hard you try to move past them.
This isn't about venting for 50 minutes and leaving with a worksheet. It's focused, real work, the kind that creates lasting change rather than temporary relief. You'll leave sessions with genuine clarity, not just coping strategies.
My Ideal Client
My passion is working with high-level professional women who may be struggling with chronic stress, burnout, or relationship issues. I help women experience greater fulfillment by learning how to manage low self-confidence, imposter syndrome, and anxiety.
By addressing these issues and cultivating a greater sense of self-awareness, you will develop the confidence and emotional resilience needed to navigate the complexities of your professional life and personal life more effectively. You have what it takes to face your obstacles and thrive, fostering deeper connections, greater satisfaction, and a renewed sense of purpose in all areas of life.
The Concerns I Specialize in Treating
Counseling for Relationship Issues
It is challenging to be a woman with big dreams and career goals to achieve those while maintaining healthy relationships with our partners, children, family, friends, and ourselves. Whether you're struggling with communication issues, trust issues, gender-related conflicts, or navigating major life transitions that impact your relationships, I am here to provide you with the support and guidance you need. Let’s work together to strengthen your relationships and build healthier, more fulfilling connections in your life.
Counseling for Cross-Cultural Differences
After living overseas for much of my childhood, I understand cultural differences and the stigmas that come along with being stereotyped. If you are a woman and are also part of a marginalized community based on additional factors such as race or sexuality, you are subject to intersectional oppression. This oppression makes it feel as if every time you try to take a step forward you are faced with extra challenges and barriers that make it harder to achieve your goals. Because of my experience, I am dedicated to providing culturally sensitive and affirming care while we explore the systemic oppression affecting you and the nuances of identity, family, and self.
Self-Esteem Counseling
Exploring one’s self-esteem as a woman can often feel like unraveling layers upon layers of societal expectations and personal experiences. Whether influenced by media portrayals, cultural norms, or individual challenges, building and maintaining a healthy self-esteem can be a difficult—but incredible—journey. As a counseling graduate student working to specialize in women's mental health, I am committed to providing a supportive and empowering space for women to explore their self-worth and overcome issues related to low self-esteem and body image issues.
Counseling for Anxiety
If you are overwhelmed by worry, fear, or panic, know you're not alone. In fact, anxiety disorders also occur earlier in women than in men, and women are twice as likely to meet the criteria for an anxiety disorder. If this is you, know that you don't have to let anxiety dictate your life. I'm here to give you the support and tools to regain control of your life and calm your anxious mind. Through evidence-based techniques and a compassionate approach, we'll work together to explore the root causes of your anxiety and develop practical strategies to manage your symptoms. With the proper support and guidance, you can learn to navigate through the challenges of anxiety and find greater peace and calm.
Counseling for Stress & Burnout
The overwhelming pressures of stress in a woman’s life can feel relentless. In the impossible balancing act of managing career ambitions, family responsibilities, social expectations, and more, the weight of stress can take a toll on mental and emotional well-being. You deserve to live a life that's not dictated by stress, and understanding what’s behind your stress and how to manage it can open up space for greater satisfaction, fulfillment, and quality of life.
My Story
I grew up between worlds, raised in Kuwait, shaped by multiple cultures, and no stranger to high-pressure environments. By most measures, I was succeeding. I built a career that spanned business, music, and modeling, moved through the world with confidence, and kept showing up no matter what was asked of me. What I didn't realize was how much of that success was built on masking, pushing through, performing, and outrunning an anxiety I hadn't yet learned to name. That pattern followed me into my first marriage, where I found myself in a relationship defined by narcissistic abuse, and eventually, a life that looked nothing like the one I wanted.
The turning point came after the pandemic. I made the decision to leave Austin, relocate to Denver, and completely rebuild. I earned my master's in counseling, did the hard personal work alongside the academic work, and somewhere in the middle of all of it, I found clarity, love, and a life I actually designed for myself. I know what it means to start over when your support system is far away and the road forward isn't clear. I became a therapist because I've lived that journey, and I believe no one should have to navigate it alone. If you're in the middle of your own turning point, I'm here, not just because of my training, but because I've been exactly where you are.
