My Story

As a graduate from CUNY Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work in 2015, I obtained my clinical license shortly after in the state of New York.  Additionally, I hold dual licensures in both the state of NY and Colorado.  I continue to focus on expanding my knowledge of holistic and evidence-based practices while staying current with treatment approaches with statistically proven positive results.

My professional passion has always been in the field of mental health, specifically, clinical therapy.  I have offered and provided support to an array of populations including early/late teens well into adulthood addressing a multitude of challenges amplified by anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and dysregulated mood disorders.  I view challenges and barriers to be experienced differently along a spectrum line for each individual, and I offer supportive guidance in accordance to the individual’s needs.

My Framework:

I specialize in numerous evidence-based therapeutic approaches as appropriate to the individual's needs including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology.  I strive to assure that diversity and cultural norms are considered throughout my treatment efforts.  Additionally, I am mindful to consider “the bigger picture:” medical and physical health, diet, sleep habits, and micro and macro-level environment.

Through our therapeutic alliance, I encourage you to challenge yourself, your perception, and behaviors; assess level of functioning and additional ways to explore potential solutions. I will encourage you to build upon your already established strengths while adding an array of skills, principles, and techniques meant to improve your experiences.
